Fundraiser - Put a Spotlight on Literacy! – Opening the World of Learning in Our Community

This special fundraising event is dedicated to supporting Victoria Literacy Connection and helping to make sure literacy support is available for children and families in the Southern Vancouver Island Region.

It will be a night to remember, with a silent auction, a special VIP special event and the main entertainment Benji’s Quiz This!

Benji’s Quiz This is a live game show.

Four teams go head-to-head in a battle of wits over a series of fun and exciting rounds! It will be silly, loud and highly entertaining!

Audience members will have the chance to participate in bonus rounds and win some fabulous prizes.

Benji has been writing and hosting unique quiz shows in pubs, on tv and online for over 15 years. It’s what he does and he does it rather well.

It’ll be a great show and you’ll be supporting literacy in the community.

Teams

The participants will be three pre-arranged team from the community and one team from the audience. We are still working on confirming teams 2 and 3 and these will be posted here once confirmed. Perhaps you would like to join? Please let us know.

Team 1

The Literacy Champions from last year are returning to defend their title!

Under the direction of improviser and storyteller Dave Morris, The Paper Street Theatre co. creates improvisation that feels like theatre. By studying great playwrights, and theatrical styles then performing them with no script, our ensemble sets out to change what people often perceive improvisation to be.

Team 2

Nestled in the heart of Cook Street Village in beautiful Victoria, BC, this charming bookstore is a treasure trove of new and previously enjoyed books, toys, puzzles, greeting cards, and fun. From the moment you walk up our book steps, you are welcomed by our friendly staff who are ready to help you find the perfect book.

Team 3

RE/MAX Sabre Victoria’s Trivia Newton John

Event MC Tony Joe’s own office is up for the challenge!

REMAX Sabre Realty agents serve the entire Capital Region helping home buyers and sellers in Greater Victoria while supporting the Community.

Team 4

As an audience member, you are eligible to become part of Team 4. Benji will ask for a show of hands among the willing, so you can join on stage.

VIP tickets include a fun and informative Whiskey and Chocolate Tasting session from 9pm-10pm, facilitated by the “brothers proudly serving whiskey from Artemis Whiskey Bar” and Sirene Chocolate, in addition to live guitar music strumming in the background.

Silent auction and ” Date With a Book” will be made available throughout the event.

Donations will be encouraged.
