VLC is so fortunate to have benefitted once again from the Times Colonist‘s Literacy Fund, namely a grant of $20,000.00! TC Publisher and Editor, Dave Obee, along with his team have been doing the book drive for years. Russell Books supported with the logistical aspect of it all. VLC is grateful to both parties. It goes to show what community initiative can achieve! Jack Knox, TC’s columnist extraordinaire, came to the VLC’s new office at 830 Pembroke St. to give our executive director the cheque. Happy days!
